Dr. Steve K. Rayes
Dr. Rayes graduated with a Dental Degree in General Dentistry from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. After this, he attended a General Practice Residency in order to learn more advanced techniques and gain a deeper understanding of dental concepts.
Dr. Rayes began his career providing dental services to adults and children in the remote villages of Alaska utilizing small aircraft and portable dental gear in the remote areas of Dillingham, Alaska and on Kodiak Island. After 8 years of service, it became clear that he loved working with children and this led to his decision to return to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry for 3 years of additional training to attain a master’s degree in pediatric dentistry. After his training, Dr. Rayes returned to Alaska to continue his Public Health Service. While in Alaska, he was instrumental in the development of a Pediatric Dental Residency Training Program in cooperation with NYU Lutheran and the Alaska Native Medical Center. He became a clinical instructor and taught pediatric dentistry initially, and eventually was selected to be the Director of the training program and has been teaching and directing now for 8 years.
Dr. Rayes is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and after years of lectures, research and publishing articles on Pediatric Dentistry, he was selected to serve as a National Oral Board Examiner for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In addition, he is a member of the Qualifying Examination Committee in which he participates in writing questions for the national board examination.
Dr. Rayes has received numerous honor awards throughout his career including the Kenneth Eastlick Award for Academic and Clinical Excellence. He was recognized for his leadership skills and outstanding service to children by receiving an early, exceptional capabilities promotion to rank of Colonel/Captain in the US Public Health Service.
Dr. Rayes is an avid pilot and loves spending time with his lovely wife Lisa and their 3 children; Ava 7, Shane 4 and John 2 as well as their family dog Ghita. They enjoy a number of outdoor activities including kayaking, hiking, camping, are all avid fishermen, and they love snow activities including snowshoeing, skiing and of course the children love to dogmush! The family also loves to farm.
Dr. Rayes and his family are thrilled to be moving to the Upper Valley and are looking forward to many new adventures and being an active part of the Upper Valley Community.

Dr. Rachel Davis
Dr. Davis graduated with her dental degree from The Ohio State University where she received the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Achievement Award. She then went on to complete two additional years of training in the Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry Program at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage Alaska, where Dr. Rayes was the Program Director. After her residency training Dr. Davis practiced in Bangor, Maine and served as faculty for the pediatric dental residents at Penobscot Community Dental Center. She then practiced several locations in New Hampshire before joining Just Kids Pediatric Dentistry . Dr. Davis is Board Certified by American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is a Fellow of The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She has served as Secretary/Treasure and President of the New Hampshire Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. In her free time Dr. Davis loves to bake and spend times outdoors hiking, snowshoeing, and exploring New England with her husband Jared and daughter Clara.
